# Import and export

> Back up a campaign as JSON, or move it to another store.

A campaign's configuration can be saved to a file and loaded back, in the same store or a different one.

## Export

On the [campaign list](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/managing/campaign-list.md), open a campaign's **More actions** menu and choose **Export**. The browser downloads a file named `CB_Discount_Engine_Pro_<campaign title>.json`.

The file holds the campaign's full configuration: type, qualifiers, eligible products and discount values.

## Import

**1. Open Import Campaign**

On the Manage page, click **Import Campaign**.

**2. Upload the file**

Drop the `.json` file into **Upload your Campaign .json**, or click to choose it.

**3. Import**

Click **Import**. The app creates a new campaign from the file and confirms: *"Campaign imported and created successfully!"*

> [!NOTE]
>
> Importing never overwrites an existing campaign. It always creates a new one, and it counts toward your [plan's campaign limit](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/plans/campaign-limits.md).

> [!WARNING]
>
> Products, collections and variants are stored by their Shopify IDs. When you import into a different store, those IDs won't exist there. Open the imported campaign with **Edit** and pick the products again before relying on it.
